Muzaffarnagar | A special awareness camp was organized at Holy Child Public Inter College, Jarauda, for senior citizens aged 70 years and above to issue Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards.
The event was conducted under the direction of District Magistrate Umesh Mishra, Chief Development Officer Khandarkar Kamlakishore Deshbhooshan, and under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sunil Tewatia.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp by senior citizens and officials. The objective of the camp was to connect elderly citizens with government-run health security schemes and provide them the benefit of free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually.

Dr. Rajeev Kumar, member of the Child Welfare Committee, appealed to all citizens above 70 years of age to get their Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards made, as the card provides free facilities including medical tests, treatment, and medicines. District Coordinator Dr. Akash Tyagi explained the process, eligibility, and required documents for the card and urged more elderly citizens to complete their registration on time.
District Grievance Redressal Officer Shozab Zaidi was also present at the event. He informed that if any citizen faces issues while making the card or availing the scheme’s benefits, they can directly contact the District Grievance Redressal Office for assistance.
All eligible senior citizens present at the camp were issued Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards on the spot. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the administration and the health department for this initiative.
At the conclusion of the program, the Principal of Holy Child Public Inter College, Pravendra Dahiya, presented mementoes to the guests and stated that such awareness programs are highly beneficial for the needy and elderly sections of society.
