Muzaffarnagar | Budhina Khurd village was never known for glittering roads or big names. Life there begins with hard work in the mornings and ends under the weight of responsibilities by evening.
Born into an ordinary trader family in this very village, Ramniwas Pal understood early in life that one has to carve out one’s own path. Resources were limited and opportunities were not easy, but self-belief and self-discipline became his greatest strengths.
Born into the family of Chatar Singh, Ramniwas was one of five children and experienced the seriousness of life at a very young age. The family business was rooted in rural realities, where each day brings fresh struggles. Economic uncertainty, social responsibilities, and constantly changing circumstances sharpened his ability to think and take decisions. This is why he later came to be recognized as a leader who maintains balance in every situation.
His political consciousness developed gradually, and in 1995 he began his political journey with the Bahujan Samaj Party. This decision was not driven by a desire for position or personal gain, but by an aspiration to participate in society and establish an identity. During this phase, he came into contact with Balesh Pal, who recognized his leadership potential. Under Balesh Pal’s guidance, Ramniwas Pal received direction in his political outlook and learned the nuances of working within an organization.
Due to his consistent activism and ability to shoulder responsibilities, his stature within the organization kept growing. In 2005, he was entrusted with district-level responsibility in the Pal Brotherhood Committee. This was followed by responsibilities related to the Sadar Assembly constituency and later a divisional-level role, each adding steadily to his experience. Every new role proved to be another step in his political growth.
The year 2008 proved decisive in his public life. A major event linked to the Pal hostel emerged as a symbol of his influence. It clearly demonstrated that Ramniwas Pal had established himself not only within the organization but also among the people. His active participation in social causes connected him closely with the masses and strengthened his public image.
For him, service and leadership have always complemented each other. He believes that the purpose of politics is not merely to attain power, but to carry the voice of society to the appropriate platform. This philosophy has been evident in every step of his journey.
During the Muzaffarnagar riots, he was taken into custody on the pretext of a peace committee meeting, creating unrest in political and social circles. The then BSP leadership immediately questioned this action, and the matter reached the state level. After a long legal process, the court completely acquitted him in 2016, a verdict that stood as a testament to his patience and faith.
In 2013, he was given organizational responsibility for Muzaffarnagar district, and in subsequent years he played a coordinating role across various districts of western Uttar Pradesh. During this period, his area of influence expanded steadily. However, when he felt that the organization was drifting away from its core direction, he chose a different path and joined the Samajwadi Party in 2020.
Recognizing his political maturity and regional hold, the Rashtriya Lok Dal appointed him as State General Secretary in 2022. This responsibility reflected the party leadership’s trust in him and his long-term relevance.
In 2024, after the Mirapur Assembly seat fell vacant, his name naturally surfaced in political discussions. His standing within the organization, acceptance among the public, and regional balance placed him among the leading contenders.
His family life has also remained closely linked to public service. His wife contesting elections from the Sarwat Gram Panchayat indicates that the spirit of public service is deeply embedded in the family’s values.
Today, Ramniwas Pal is known not just as a leader, but as someone who has risen from an ordinary background and forged his identity through wisdom, patience, and persistent effort. This journey, emerging from the soil of Budhina Khurd, has now left a lasting imprint on the politics of western Uttar Pradesh.
